The emotion I expressed in my portrait is calmness. To create this portrait I photographed my puppy because he is a very calm and chill dog. I position him to sit in front of my door while I tried to get his attention. I used butterfly lighting to give his face a sweet texture. I edited the image by decreasing the saturation and vibrance a little. Then started to mess around with the shadows, contrast, and whites. Overall I think my portrait was a success because the way I got him to stare at the camera was a perfect picture. Next time I would switch up the location and do it somewhere near nature. Also would make the photo into color, so the color of his fur could show.
